Open Access Scholarly Publishers Association reports a steady growth of CC-BY articles from OASPA members. It’s great to see use of the most open Creative Commons license growing!

The European Review of Latin American and Caribbean Studies is joining Latin America Commons, the portal for cutting-edge, open access research on Latin America that is part of the Ubiquity Press Network.

The Journal of Open Psychology Data has a new call for papers in the form of a challenge. Through “Citation Classics Special Collection” the journal is challenging authors of highly cited and influenced papers to make their datasets openly available and submit data papers describing their potential for reuse. The call for paper is ongoing, but with a deadline of 24 August for the first set of papers.

Latest Books from the Ubiquity Partner Network

June was a great month for Open Access book publications! The University of California Press published three books, and the University of Westminster Press launched a new series, CAMRI Policy Briefs. The series provides evidence-based policy advice and analysis on media and communication topics. The first books of the series were published in June, and explore artificial intelligence and online advertising tax.

Open Quaternary reaches new heights

Open Quaternary launched three years ago by early career researchers. The journal, which explores the changing environment of the Quaternary was accepted into Scopus, presented in its first Twitter conference this month (#QUAPAL18), and has launched a photo competition. You can submit your own photo related to the Quaternary by posting your picture on Twitter, Instagram, or Facebook, tagging @OpenQuaternary, and including the hashtag #OQSummer. Photo competition submissions will be considered until 1 October.
